Corroded Box

Is there anyone aware of this and knows it it's an issue or intentional?:

I secured "a corroded box" in my home yesterday, and today, when I wanted to move it somewhere else, I noticed that the box has became static and thus no longer moveable...

Is it redeedable with an axe or is it a bug?

Use the interior decorator tool to turn the box. It will become movable again.

Its odd that this bug was fixed after the Rescue of Casca event/quest but now is broken again.
