For years I have had trouble seeing things in my backpack because they blended in with the dark background color. Recently I set up a new computer and found a utility for calibrating my monitor. After calibrating, the backpack color lightened up considerably. So if you are plagued by this issue, look through your utilities for a monitor calibration routine. All this time, I thought that the devs were deaf to peep complaints on this issue. If the devs' monitors are properly calibrated, I doubt that they would ever think this was a valid issue for people, and thus no action has been taken. The utility is in the control panel on Windows 7 under display, subtopic calibrate color.

Sounds like you mis calibrated your colors - or your 'theme' on your monitor is wrong. If you got deep good color for gameplay, the backpack will be dark.

You may be right, but I can see no difference in colors that would tempt me to go back to the original settings. I just went through the calibration routine again, got the same result. I just want to share my experience as one who has struggled for a long time with the dark container background.

I had asked Grimm if it was possible to lighten up the interior of our packs and he afirmed it was doable and he agreed he would put it on his TO DO list.... unfortunatly he was sacked by EA.. and our new guy at Mythichas not seen fit to carry on Grimm's list. I have asked here many times.....quite a few friends have sight problems and for me when a player needs to use a magnifyer to see their bags contents its time to ether quit or ask for help of the Dev....

You can choose the color of the grid lines, but not the background color. Pinco's has a lighter color background choice, but it is still pretty dark.
Actually Pinco's gives you the choice to have your background in the squares all one color or checkered and lets you pick the colors.
You are correct, Pinco's does allow you to choose a color overlay. The overlay is on top of one of two backgrounds, the original very dark and a somewhat lighter grey-black. It is this background that until I adjusted my monitor color settings, made items hard to see. Any color overlay other than white was always worse than white (at least for me). The monitor calibration procedure lightened the background enough to resolve the issue, and even some of the lighter color overlays are now usable. The purpose of the post was just to let people know that experimenting with the background was possible.
By your initial post, - I assumed you was playing Classic Client. Glad to hear that you can fix that in EC....wish they could do that for the CC too...

We who use the CC have for years suffered with loosing things to the blackness that is the pit of our packs.
I saw in a post to Grimm a pack interior that was so nice to my eyes that I requested this very thing for us all... I know Pinco was great in his addon for the game for the EC and I thank him for such for you all who use it.
Those of us who use CC do so for a varied set of reasons, I would hope the Dev would see into this for a tad bit ot help for we of little choice in the matter at hand.
