7:30PM WET (GMT) = 2:30PM EST

1:30PM EST should be 6:30PM WET (GMT) or 7:30PM CET so unless you've confused WET with CET, you're 1 hour off.

So, when is it again?

Didnt find too much information about it, so I was curious...

Is this a once and done you have to be there at the time exactly event or is it running from that time on throughout the day?

Only asking because of the 4pm time and the normal work schedule until 5pm.

4PM PST???!!!

I hope it is running more than once because alot of west coast people might have to miss it. I know I will

Maybe they'll change that. It's certainly not a good time for many.

I'm a bit stumped about the avg of 4pm times. That almost seems like a time that would cater to school kids. While I realize there are school kids that play UO it seems to me the vast majority of us are of working age and typically that is 9am to 5pm with plenty of exception but the times to accomodate that would seem to be closer to 6pm rather than 4. Just an observation...

I really wanted to participate but it looks like I'll miss it since I won't be home from work. Bah!

I love how its going to be in the middle of the week.....

So the kids will be off from school I guess....but what about people that work?

G

It's still Friday in the US, so, no. (I am usually just as confused, don't worry
)

*chuckles* See? Not only a different time of day, but different day of week! Plus, in Australia, we have a timezone which is abbreviated to "EST" as well, although at the moment it's daylight savings, so it's probably "EDT" - but my head still says "EST" so having the time written as "Saturday, Feb. 16th, 6PM EST" is doubly confusing...

This whole post is like a riddle
LOL!

So the "EST" used on the timetable *is* American (US) EST?

Dont worry T
eesh we just toss a coin !bound to be somewhere in that range

So is it on at 11am our time on Sunday??

[/ QUOTE ]

It does sound like you guys are a day ahead so it would be Sunday at 11am. I think I have the time correct according to the timezone Sydney is in.

*kicks the computer again for the time zone conversion*

When in doubt with the time zones please do the local conversion according to EST

Thanks for your feedback, i did think it highly unlikely that your guys would be up in the wee am's to have the hunt on at a 'good' time for us. But i guess tomorrow morning wont be too bad

will this event be repeated so that the rest of us people who must work can also join in the festivities? or will we just be screwed out of participating in the event totally?? IE -> being unable to participate in said event due to oh i don't know, work?

Same here, I'm scheduled to work, and as of yet, have not been able to find coverage so I can be off. I don't want to miss it......will it be repeated?

no different email, and on lake austin just now it was EXTREMELY unfair, they said one of the things was a soulstone, so i give the token in and it keeps rejecting it, i would have definitely been one of the 5 people to get it in, she did not specifically state NOT THE TOKEN the fragment itself! or either should have been accepted, i dunno about anyone else but i dont think that was fair in any way, a lot of people tried to give the token in as well

Well, unless they asked for a soulstone fragment token, I wouldn't have tried to turn one in, but that is just me.

A *full* soulstone was required? *ouch* Unless you are an IDOCer. Did they specify that skills must be stored on the stone? Just curious.

Wow. I was going to go to LA, but once again I was busy in RL. Glad I didn't bother cause I go through SS frags like mad. It's not like I ever get any of the special event items anyways. Waah.

It said specifically in the book...

Soulstone Fragment

The whine above was from the couple of people who had tokens - none of which I'd EVER seen before on Lake Austin, in my 5 years of playing on the shard.

Frankly, anyone who's actually been playing a shard should have some fragments by this point, or a guildmate that can lend them one temporarily. Not having a fragment (especially resorting to getting a token) is much more likely to indicate someone running to Luna to buy a token for one of their X-shard trading characters. Note the location of the complaining character, below their name.....

Nice event! Smoothly run, which..this being Siege..I expected problems. Nice touch at the end, but again...this being Siege...*chuckles*

The players all looked like they were enjoying fighting there after, it was all over with, pleasant to see em pvping somewhere else for a change.

I think the event seemed to go quite well on Siege.

G

I understand it did go well on Siege, until the bunnies. *grimaces*

*moment of silence for the bunnies*

I guess they are in that big blue bunny ice cream hutch in the sky now.

I did not get to see em, I had gone back into that lil house( which I just put up up there just this morning just for this event) to friend another one inside, so they could log out for the night.

Anyways I heard the bunnies were *blue*.....if so, that would explain their lil bunny demises, with all those red names in the park and on my lawn..so tis no surprise it became a trip to blue bunny heaven for them lil bunnies, on Siege.

From what I understand, it was a great event. *tips hat to the crew* Yeah, it was a tragic loss. Poor bunnies.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it even through the drama ( which at least proved that people were interested
)

I'm curious how the overhead compares running it manually through the many shards vs fully QAing a scripted event ... although I don't know how to compare the styles given that your satisfaction/enjoyment from actual interaction with players is also a variable that needs to be considered. I think about it because I think it would be cool to have a series of little once-a-year events/quests sprinkled automated through the game that would pop up and give out year-marked rewards.

( which reminds me ... I'm surprised I haven't seen wineries selling year/week-marked bottles of wine
)
