if ya want to talk beer, then why mention fizzy water with a low alchohol content....it's going to be beer. Can we move to a Bud, Coors, Miller discussion?
The rights to distribute Dr Pepper actually vary from area to area, so usually either Pepsi or Coke put it out based on who pays the most. Coke soda sales beat Pepsi because Coke is 90% soda but Pepsico is a more diversified company, we own Frito, Pepsi, Taco Bell, KFC, Quaker Oats, Gatorade, etc etc. Eat that Coke fansPfft... Even "Diet Coke" is beating Pepsi sales - a fact that I love rubbing under the nose of a brother and sister-in-law that work for Pepsi Corporate.
Of course... he drinks Dr. Pepper and she drinks Coke...
So basically,If you open a can of coke and a can of Pepsi and leave it out for 7days you will find that Coke will turn into a nasty thick Jello but Pepsi will not.
I grew up in TX and drank Dr. Pepper almost exclusively, but was unaware of the history. So the question I have, even though you are soda free now, is whether the stuff they sold nationwide recently without any HFCS was Dublin Dr. Pepper or something else. The Dublin Dr. Pepper I'm finding around town lately is pretty awesome.
