cities merge

i was just wondering how close if anyone know we are to haveing the merge happen? i had heard after first of year im just wondering if that still the case and it will be soon or if its still gonna be months before anything happens?

They need to open EA Land then they will merge a small city first, then the next cities to be merged will be random and BV will be merged last. All we know.

Luc just announce that they are trying to open EA Land this week, in the blog.
