Christmas Feelings

Dear UO-addicts,

I just wanted to tell you a lil story I experienced last night: It was about midnight and I couldn´t sleep while the familiy slept in their beds. So I went to the PC and logged into UO. I thought it would be a good idea to find someone who wanted to trade Christmas Gifts with me - I had about 9 boxes from this year on Europa...

So I asked in GC and soon somebody replied. I have him my boxes and then we met on Drachenfels. He said, I should better get a packhorse... Then he have me ALL the gifts he got from 2008 on... 7 chars, 7 x Christmas,Thanksgiving and to so on... TONS of wonderful deco.

He said: "Merry X-Mas" and returned to Europa!

I was overwhelmed by this lovevly gesture! I had a longer UO-break due to job-, family, children-issues and thus I missed many of these gifts. But now I had them all... I was so incredibly happy: All these nutcrackers, fire flies, santa clauses and so on... It was like christmas, my packhorse was full of these wonderful colored giftboxes...

First thing I did was decorating my home with this stuff, second thing was to share the items with younger players who also missed the gifts from previous years.

It really felt like christmas!

Thanks, stranger from Europa! This one of the reasons, why I love this game so much: Kind, decent, friendly and cooperative people helping each other...

I had the same experience with Miri of Sonoma - she also kind of overloaded several beetles with stuff she collected on a few shards I am playing over the years
