Christmas Caroling on Siege, Sunday Dec 20, 930pm est

General Instructions: Equip however you want, but wear a death robe dyed red, green or gold. Have some physical weapon with you and siege bless it. Bring an instrument. More will be available at some of the stops. Prepare some songs to C&P as the mood hits you. Expect to die. If you are new to Siege, load your bank with replacement gear, bandies, arrows and such. Let us know if you need help with this. I will only be providing instruments and thief contest objects.

This is not an EM event.

Thief Contest: Various attendents will be carrying a specific mundane object that has been engraved and dyed to catch the thieve's attention. The person (thief or PK) that ends up with the most of these objects will win a prize. The prize will be of the fun variety, nothing too awefully rare, but geared towards thieves.

PK Contest: Do PKers need a contest to kill people? This event is being advertised in such a way as to encourage folks to not carry valuables. However, I would like volunteers to advertise they are carrying something and then see where the item ends up. If I have time and can corner an imbuer with the right stuff, I would like to carry peices to a 70s suit with other properties...but not all at the same time so it would take some work to get the complete set. If I can manage this, I will have the peices engraved for the event. (thanks for the engraver btw!)


1) Start will be Zento Bank as most consider it neutral and there are guards.

2) From there we will be portaled to Iantown. Someone will be there to share some history and such. There will be a silly event called Farmer Gray. Those who don't have horses can get one at this time.

3) From Iantown we will ride north to the toad, then east through Umbra and visit Queen Zen's shop. She has offered to open it up to the public temporarily so you can enjoy her fabulous deco. If your nice, she may treat you to some cookies and stories of old of MYTH and KSS. (Patty, would you like us to stop by too?)

4) At this point we are in Stonehaven's backyard. I don't expect any fireside chats from TnT, but I would like to ride folks by the chapel and the arena....if I can find it again.

5) On to Gilfane from here. This ride may or may not be quiet and organized, so I will provide instructons on how to get there in case you find the need to travel in ghost form. Basically, take the road out the east end of the east end of Umbra and keep going. You'll pass a brigand camp and orc fort. Go through the mountain pass and you're there. Its a bit long, but I won't even try to organize and gate from here unless we get no activity.

5) Gilfane is a lovely community with several public buildings. If a rep is around, a -short- tour and talk would be nice....again, if there is no distracting activity.

A note about distracting activity: This is siege. We want it. Plan for it.

6) From here we will portal to Minoc. If you miss the gate or have died, use the Luna or Umbra moongate or the public mint portal crystal at Gilfane. QZ also has one at her shop. From there we will ride up to Barter town. Its up to you if you want to follow thier rules while on thier property.

7) Then we will ride to Safe Haven. You'll notice I am advocating riding when possible. There are some reasons for this. I just dropped magery and have actually been having fun seeing the landscape again. Plus, if we're being chased, it makes things all the more chaotic. We can use the new chat system to help if you get lost. Sort of. We may not even still be in a functional group by now, hard to say. From Minoc, we will run the southern road past Vesper to the area with the fork in the road.

8) Last stop will be Wispwood. This is located south of Yew gate. I am not even going to pretend we'll still be in an organized group at that point. I hope to still have mages, and most mages will have that player town in thier books if no other. If in doubt, find any moongate, go to Yew and head south. There used to be a water barrel path, but I don't know if its still there or not. Look for the Golden Unicorn.

Prize for the PKs. This set will be split up among participants. Its up to you to figure out how to get the whole thing.

Prize for the thieves. This set is everything you see above with a pair of Shadow Dancer legs and Burgler's Bandana thrown in. To win this, you must gather the most amount of thief lures during the event. The lures will be a simple item yet to be disclosed, dyed and marked for the occasion. All lures will be alike. Sometime after the event, drop the lures off on my mailbox and I will count them up and award the prize.

The Farmer Grey Game!

This will, or should be, simple and quick. Along the lines of an open field egg hunt, items will be laid out on the ground and folks can run around and pick them up. If a player sees something they like picked up by someone else, they are welcome to go grey in an attempt to get it. There will be no rules about whether or not to give murder counts so for the duration of this game, it is allowed. Before volunteering to go grey, be aware of your own reputation, and the fact that there are pixies in the area.

The items I will be contributing to this run-and-grab game will range from noob help items to lower end imbuing ingredients. Anyone who has a trunk sitting around to take to goodwill is welcome to bring it along and throw it on the ground.
