You need positive karma, if you have you might have to start the planner and choose chivalry and then it usually fixes the problem.

a skill that has all its spells based on positive karma - and your saying that's a ridicules requirement?
if anything its one of the only things that makes sense in this game.

It’s a skill on a pet, not a character. Furthermore, that restriction doesn’t exist for characters either. I can easily train chivalry on my necro character with negative karma. Characters with negative karma can own and control pets with the chivalry skill. Restricting them from adding the skill to the pets during the training process makes no sense at all.

does anybody know why?

just a FYI, i had a pet last month that would not show Chiv, i did a bunch of stuff, killed it, went into training mode ect ect ect.
i ended up having to transfer it to another character and then back to get it to finally show up.
