Chivalry: Whats better - 115.0 or 120.0 ?

Good morning Eric, The diff with chiv is pretty huge as the greater your skill the more effectiveness and duration is added to the chiv moves... its about a 5-8% damage increase for each 5.5 ya gain over GM in chiv.. The 120 mark is the highest increase for this school.. as con weapon gains an extra 2-3 sec to duration... and ene of one gains nearly an 8%-10%(depends on the pet) increase from 115.. Which is what makes for those huge 270-310 hits... The added duration to all its moves, plus power adds for a greater chance of them lining up and more of those super high attacks chiv is known for.. at 115 you still get some good damage but no where near the sustained combo time as 120... Plus the stand alone power is increase as its heal, and poison cure see the greater increase in effectiveness at this lvl too.. Lucky Chiv is still view as being greatly over rated by most... so 120 PS for it are farily cheap .. normally in the 5-15 mill range on most shards... I hope this helped mate.. if ya have anymore questions feel free to post/ message me.. =^-^=

Can I ask how are you training past 110? My Chiv Cu is gaining at a snails pace after hitting 110.

Good morning Merlin, sure thing..well it depends.. if the cu is just Ai , chiv cu then I find one of the better places to train is off the coast of new haven( not on siege)... the spell caster in the old part of town use a lot of debuffs/ nerco moves( make sure not to get more then 3 of them ..anymore then that and their mana drain spam cost ya gains..2-3 for best gains)... and they use no damging spells..so this forces the chiv pets to spam cleanses, and other chiv moves... if ya use this way of training its most effective if ya can get a friend to discord the pet as the chiv gains get abit stickly after 105ish... and super sticky at 115.7ish...without discord this will still get ya there..but will takes a lot longer... If the pet is the classic alround chiv build of goo,ai, chiv then there are 2 places I like to use... one is in the lower floors of shame you will find an island just west then south of the crazed mage ( across the bridge).. ya can teleport to it...it is surrounded by D. Blood eles.. it takes a lot to burst them down with ranged moves.( so goo will not effect them to the point of death..) so I normally keep 1-2 of them there and lead the other 7-8 off( ya want to only have 1-2 of them as the more mobs a goo pet has the more likey the ai will use goo more often ).. then ya just have your pet attack them safely from the island... most players seem to use this way as it requires less set up...(once again if ya can, get someone to discord the pet..<many of my friends have taken pets to 120 chiv there... >just remember if ya do this ..each time whisper is about to be up break the discord... and redo it..then use the whisper.. as they game rounds up gains in an odd way .. this will cause a round up of all the gains then lower it again... making it lower then it was before and allowing for better gain chances..) The 2nd way is pretty easy to set up... In under world just to the west of the way in(fire island way) you will find a pit of acid slimes... If you have your pet guard you, then use taming mastery , and attack them it will stay in constant combat without the need for healing....The spawn rate for the new slime is nearly instant so the pit will almost always be full.. I worked a pet from 40is to 117.3 in about 16 hours time...( this was without the use of discord.. if the pets other skills are 120 then you can use discord and only have to toss it a heal from time to time) Just make sure to stand on the grey blocks as the slimes will not be able to reach you there and the guarded status will keep your pet going after them.( this is also a good place to increase wrest, tactcis, anat, parry and many other skills to 120..(bare in mind for the melee related skills you want the pet to be at 60.1 for the gains to start...<the zerg spawn of ants at the dragon turtle spawn lvl one will work all of yours pets combat related skills from 20 to 80/above in less then an hour..if ya need to get the pets skills to the acid slime range quick that place rocks.>) There are many fine ways to train Chiv..but these were just the most effective three ways I found for my playstyle.. Hope this helps mate... if ya have any other questions feel free to post or message me.. =^-^=

@Donavon I appreciate all your insight with the taming changes.

For chiv, what would you consider to be normal time to train from 40-GM? I'm doing the spellbinder method in New Haven. But I thought it would be faster. I am using discord and whispering when I can.

Edit: Should I not use disco until closer to GM? I'm around 89 real and 64 post disco. I'm still getting around .1 every 10 minutes. It does seem to fluctuate some though.

Good evening Maximus, I've found that the UI of chiv is alittle different depending on the pet... with the cus I found it best to discord them early on.. with the hiryus I will take them to the slime pits(boat/or island) and let their chiv get to the sticky 105 range before using discord on them...In pets like drakes , fire steeds and sometimes hiryus around the 105.5 mark is when their UI will sometimes do a odd pause that slows their gains... normally I use discord to by pass this as the timing smooths outs as the UI gets closer to the 115.5 mark( or is tricked into the 80s again with discord) headed to 120... once ya get over that you will see more every day gains as well.. just doing random things with whisper will often give you 1.0-2.0 in a given day if ya don't feel like grinding the last bit out.. my newest test chiv cu I took to 115.5 and have been just using it actively to test this math... I've found that the crazed mages code that makes most combat skills not gain can often proc huge chiv gains if you are tanking it for a friend.. but seems to only come in burst of 1.0( past 115.5 that is ) in a 24 hour period .. it acts like a mini power hour .I would keep your discord training up.. once its abit higher the gains will come in burst of .8-2.0 alittle over GM lvls.... then slow to about .7-1.0 at best until 120 but come at a steadier pace.. hope this helped mate.. if ya have anymore questions feel free to post or message me anytime.. =^-^=

Hellos.

There is BIG difference in "Divine fury"-spell for example 115 and 120.

Hit Chance Increase: 115 = 10% and 120 +15%
Damage Increase: 115 = 15% and 120 +20%
Swing Speed Increase: 115 = +10% and 120 = 15%

I think chivarly skill % affect most just to Diivine Fury 115 VS 120
