Chat help?

I have a character that cannot stay in General Chat.

I login and she is in "None". Join General chat... someone in vent will laugh at something someone says in chat that I never see bc I look and for some reason I am in "None" again. I join General chat and it says "you are already in channel "General". I then have to join another channel and leave it and join General again to be able to see any chat in that channel.

This happens every time I log on this character. If I log out and change characters for a bit then log back in I get the same thing.

Anyone know why this happens or have a fix I can try?

may not be the best option to try but maybe delete that characters configuration file/folder (depending on the client) and let it rebuild. see if that does it (be sure to make a back up/rename it, in case it doesn't work)

It's not earth shattering, just annoying.
