Chat: A Question, A Consultation and a Proposal

Something I posted earlier set me thinking. Here's where my thought processes took me:

Question: Does anyone on your shard use the chat channel 'Trade'?

Consultation: Would a few people please monitor that channel for a short period at odd times of the day to establish the true answer to my question?

Proposal: If we find, as I suspect we will, that the channel is not used, we request that EA re-name this permanent channel to 'PvP'.

The intended result of this is the pvpers of each shard will use this dedicated channel for their verbal 'pvp' leaving the general channel free for the general population who find their sparring unpleasant to read.

Although a PvP channel would be nice I don't think this plan will work. Firstly, I use the trade channel on occasion on the shards I play and have bought and sold things off it. Second, even if Trade was changed to PvP, or a PvP channel put in place I don't think it would solve the problem. A better solution would be making your own chat and telling non-PvP'ers to use it, or putting chat moderators in place like there used to be.
