I been fishing for a friend and so far he has gotten like 3 120 power scrolls and I don't know how many 115s or 110s and like 2-3 baits needed for Charbdis. He has yet to get that spyglass you need. My friend does like 30-50 quests a week he even buys fish he needs to fill the quest sometimes. Maybe the Devs will give us a break and let us buy the spyglass or do some other kind of quest to get it, or they just don't care that they created a boss that almost no one will ever get to kill.

I did a poll here on the forum a while back. Like 6% had done Charybdis, while 25% had no idea what it was, and the rest had varying levels of interest in doing one someday. And this was a poll of Stratics people, the hardcore.

I kid! Really though, I bought the expansion and all, but there is so much stuff to see, I haven't even considered buying a boat yet and getting out to go fishing.... I am looking forward to it one day though.

I have done 5 of them so far, with my crazy fisherman buddy. Boxing him won't work, as he does a tidal wave that both damages and pushes your boat around.
Best advice I have is to be sure you keep the tentacles under control, or they will quickly get out of control, as in too many of them. Make sure you have a healer that can cure poisons and do a lot of healing, Mystic works well. Bards do not work on him, he cannot be discorded or Provoked onto. Take ranged characters and pets, he does not get up against the ship too much.
Lastly, your ship will get scuttled, if you do not want to be blown all over the oceans, you can place a ship behind you to prevent the tidal wave from moving you back, but you can still be moved from side to side, unless you use 2 more boats or perhaps rowboats to block those directions too.
Other that special fish meat and crab meat (for pies) all he has dropped so far is the one special piece of armor each run. There appear to be 4 sets, of 6 pieces each, just like Epiphany armor.

Thanks for the advices. I am one of thoose crazy fishers doing lots of quests and even buying fish now and then. Swapping with others and got help from friends with fish. last week I got TWO oracles in two days. Our guild will try it out on sunday . We prepare ships and will be lots of people just for the fun. Strange enough I have not found a buyer of the other one. Well didnt try too hard, im too busy fishing for more baits..
