Character names...

Correct me if I am wrong.....are character names (per shard) no longer unique?

I ran into a character on my shard with the same name as mine???

If I remember correctly back in the day this was not possible?
when did this change happen?

or am I mistaken and this has always been this way?

Theres a guy on Atlantic that likes to make identical names of other players just so he can go into the chats and talk smack, lol. Imitation is sincerest form of flattery?

I have one char on each account with the same name. I do this so that way no matter what account I'm on, people will know its me when I'm talking in general chat. Now I have had someone come close to mimicking my name. Good thing is though, people get to know the way you talk, the way you dress etc etc and can usually tell if its a fake or not.
