Ok, lets say I have 2 characters named 'A' on a single shard.

One is a mage, the other a crafter.

Since both of them have the same name, everytime I modify an option or macro on my mage 'A' - the settings on crafter 'A' is modified automatically as well.

Is there a way to fix this, so I can keep 2 different ingame option settings(and most importantly, macros!) for 2 characters with the same name on the same shard?

My EA Games\Ultima Online Legacy\User Data\Account Name\Server Name folder only generating 1 set of files(macros2d.txt) per character name seems to be causing the issue.

only 2 ways i can think of:

1)soulstone off all skills, empty bank box, (save these macros on a disk or someplace else), delete character, make character with new name, add skills back in, copy paste marcos you saved to the new character folder.

2)buy name change token

pretty much.

That's the problem with the matter.

Your only other option would to be save copies of the two profiles elsewhere, and copy them back in each time you switch characters (and recopying them to your archival spot, if you make changes).

Personally, I'l just buy a name change token (which some people will sell for gold on vendors or at in-game auctions, if you can't buy one from UOGameCodes)

I give most of my chars the same name.

As the UO client determines the macros and config by your char name, that means to do what you want, you have to use a batch file to swap the different folders. However, you might need to restart the UO client each time you swap.

What works for me is I mapped out and combined the macros on all my chars into 1 consolidated master macro file. Took a bit of relearning certain macros that I had to remap, but works great after I get used to it.

Advantage is that I copy this file to my UO folder so that new chars I create will use this macro file automatically.
