Character Convenience...

I have a bunch of ideas and i'm not sure if they've been discussed or not but i'm getting wrapped up with the latest interface and i'm finding some needs.

One thing that seems to be happening is that all of my characters have the same needs or carry the same items. An example would be, Talisman. If I needed a full set for each character, it would take alot of work. So, I would rather, be able to trade the set of talismen between characters.

One of the problems would be, when switching the talisman. I believe they go into the main pack. So, I would like a designated bag so that the talismen would arm and disarm into that bag.

Also, potions is an item that I would like to transfer. Now, the reason is, because you don't always want to carry all of your potions. Like, if you were going to go to an event or into Fel, you might want to drop off your potions. So, again, it would be nice to just be able to take the bag and drop it or pick it back up without needing them in your main pack. More so, consumables, including potions.

I haven't tested that for a long time. So, it might already be set up so you can use a bag within a bag or whatever but the idea is to actually have seperate bags. Maybe something that could be added to the paperdoll or kind of like a character upgrade, where a consumable bag might give some type of bonus.

The main premise of this post, was for a share box that gets placed in your bank or a 2nd smaller bank box that is accessable to all of your characters. This would make things like talisman sets, bandages, gold, general resources available to all of your characters within a secure trade.

Galleon is cool but.. a 10.000 gold pieces boat works good too

I just keep a box set as "co-owner" in my house for stuff all my chars need.

Well that would be nice but ...... I have 8 accounts... I can only have 10 co-owners so the other 40+ characters can't be co-owners.... they are stuck being just "friends"..... which means either I can't have any friends friended to my homes..... or I can't access my own stuff...

If I'm stuck just being a "friend" in my own house I can't secure any containers in my house and I can't use any deeded items.

So If I have a very heavy bag I can't lock it down either.

It's extremely annoying.... talk about inconvenient.

Try to do something in a house and have to log out..... figure out what account holds the house... log into that account get to the house..... fix the problem.... log back in on the other character on the other account.... resume play.... Now "If" I could be a co-owner on all my characters at all my houses I wouldn't have to dork around and waste 30 min trying to secure something at my own stinking house!

I used to use a boat.... and all my characters had a key...... I also used to run both of my characters to the same highly unused Inn.... and trade stuff by dropping it on the ground hidden somewhere behind a wall or what have you ..... and then logging out and back in on the other character real quick... since you can insta log at an Inn.
There are a few that are so remote NO one ever used them... Anyway it's a thought

I think it might be nice to have a single bank box for all the characters on a shard on an account.

So, if you had a basic account with no upgrades, you would have a bank box that would hold 125 x 5 = 625 items.

more characters and upgrades would increase the amount of course.

Every character on the account would open the same bank box.

This would be especially convenient if you were playing on a different shard from your home shard.

its an idea bit off topic but i like the idea!

Scroll Rack...: Item you can store only scrolls in that could have a drop window to allwo filling a spellbook with one of every scroll in the rack! Be handy for scribes! will fill any type of book as long as the spell scrolls are in the rack! thats the item i would love to see added!

WildWobble, You're not really off topic. It would be convenient and make things easier.

virtualhabitat, That would probably solve the problem. I was thinking more, you would have your bank box, say the capacity was 125 and then you could place inside it a share box for 25 items. So, you would have a total of 150 items but the share box of 25 items would be the same for all of your characters.

So, if you had bandages in your bank and you went out and stocked 60,000 then all of your characters would have access to them from the bank.

So, you could use the share box to transfer other things to your other characters, such as, a set of talismen or a supply of night sight potions.

Think about all of the items in the game. If each character has bandages in their bank, that's times 7 per account but if you used the share box, it would be 1 item. That's what would make it convenient because now you only have to take care of 1 character.

The problem with using a house or a boat is that it takes away the convenience of banking. I still keep supplies at my home as well and I still stock from my home, like the archer's box, has feathers, shafts, arrows, bolts, fletching equipment. Then, the alchemist box, the smith box, etc...

There's even a box that is similar to the bank, that has gold, silver, bandages, So, technically every item in the game is organized but if i'm at the bank and I need bandages, I don't want to go back to my house or my boat and why should I have bandages in 10 different places if we could have some type of share box it would be more convenient.

"A share box" accessible to all characters ... cap total secure (bank like) storage for account ... 200 items
and "character only" holdings drops to ... 50 ...

total storage need per account DROPS to compensate for the "convenience" of "open access"

absolutely NO cross shard convenience per account.

I think my bank box is at something like, 160. I'm not sure but the box could be like a seperate item. For some reason, i'm picturing a green box. Maybe you could get it as a Vet Reward or a Spring Cleaning Turn In or maybe you could buy it.

So, if the share box was set to 25 items, once you placed it in your bank box, it would give you +25 items. So, i'm at 160 + 25, I would have a total of 185 and 25 of that would be a share box that was added to all of the banks.

I used a 125 because I think that's the base level for someone who is starting a new account but the idea could be anything you want it to be. I just haven't really thought much about it, like, being able to friend accounts or a cross shard trade. Seems like something that would be in the future but nothing I see happening anytime soon.
