[Tech Help] Changing background of grid view backpack?

Hi EC modders!

Is there a way to simply change the background of the grid view backpack? Or is there a mod that does this already (and only this)?

Any help would be appreciated!

Colored Grid Backpack

You will need the CustomSettings, CustomSettingsWindow, and CustomLocalization mods though for it to work.

You can get all of them in a single zip, for easy install, here:

If you don't want to need the other three mods, I can tweak the Colored Grid Backpack mod so that it uses a specific background, instead of being configurable. I just need to know what background you want to use.

I was looking for a piece of code that allows me to direct the background graphics to any graphics I created myself. I have no clue where and how to make the appropriate changes in Lua.

Ok - I'll put something together for you.
You'll need to have software that can modify dds texture files to change the graphics.

You can get a plugin for Photoshop here:

There is also a plugin for Gimp somewhere.

Download the "Alternate Grid Backpack" one.
You'll find the DDS file you need to modify in "/Mods/Alternate Grid Backpack/Alternate Grid Backpack.dds".
By default, it is a light grayish background (like the screenshot shows).
