Changes to mirror images in Trammel?

Used my pvm ninja after not playing her for some time and did go to navrey.
Some Mystics where there and they did cast hailstorm and nether cyclone. Both are AoE spells. It didnt destroy any mirror images, but i remember AoE spells did destroy the images some time ago. Did the devs finally change this?

Non-friendly players (non-guild/alliance) can do nothing to your images in the trammel ruleset.

Yes, that seems to be the state right now. But has not always been. Not so long ago, when i did navrey on this char i had to leave if certain players did show up. Wildfire was extremly nasty.
