Champ Spawns and SoT

I would like to do some champ spawns and try to get SoTs, but I am curious what's the best way to go about that?

1) What are the easier and/or most popular locations? I mostly solo PvM and don't care much about soloing the entire spawn - just for a while to work on getting SoTs and skill gains.
2) I have both a Paladin Swordsman, and an ABC archer. Which works better for soloing champ spawns? Both are being rebuilt from pre-AoS time and are not yet particularly high-end.
3) Is quantity over quality good for getting SoTs? I figured the more I kill the better, not so much, the harder I kill.
4) What is the average drop rate of SoTs at lower tiers? As in, how often can I expect to get a drop?

If you just want to farm SoTs, you want to stick to the first two levels of the spawn and kill as many mobs as you can as fast as you can. As a warrior, that pretty much means whirlwind. Your best bet is a sampire -- you can probably tack necro onto your pally swordsman template to get a workable sampire. Alternately, you could play your ABC archer with a hit area spell bow, but it'll be a lot slower and more tedious.

If you have an efficient AoEing character, you can expect to average about one SoT every 30 minutes or so. If you're killing single-target, you're probably looking at one every 3-4 hours.

The "safest" spot is probably the Humility Champ spawn...it's trammel ruleset (so you don't have to worry about getting jumped with your precious SoTs), and right by a shrine/moongate for easy rez and transportation. Don't forget, however, that you can only get .1 to .5 SoTs in trammel spawns.
