Ceramic Mugs no longer rare

I think the coffee thing is dumb and ugly, wasn't worth it to me. I guess some people like it.
So ceramic mugs have met the same fate as clear "glass"

My question is, what do you all think will be the next server birth item that loses its rareness because of new deco / content.

I think server birth cards will. we have a casino and makes sense that eventually something that uses a deck of cards is put into the game.
or maybe a plow for plant stuff
or maybe silverware

We will never know until the next server birth's "rareness" is destroyed by innovation and improvement!

So I did some investigation. If anything finds out anything else, let me know.
The mugs labeled "ceramic mug" with handle on the left are no longer rare. The weights are the same too.
Any "a mug of ____" with the handle on the left and the ceramic mug graphic are no longer rare.

I haven't found any with handles on the right so to the best of my knowledge, those retain their rarity.

Was going to answer your post about the handles but see you have found out for yourself Either way its really a shame, just one of those things that cant be helped i guess.

At least theres some solace for ceramic mug lovers that the right handled one is still technically rare for those who notice the small things. I know i personally hold very high value to my right handled skull mugs, although most don't realize the difference between those and the common bug/exploit one.

I kind of agree with Promathia on this....Server Births used to be cool when they were new, but now 99% of people cant tell the difference between a 2 gold item and a 100m server birth anyway.

Although I do like 2 story statues.

It will never go over well when the game takes away the worth of something youve already bought.

It would be nice if they could. Its just such a shame they kept the same color and the same graphic as the server birth.

Would give the bar sinks a use, to clean the dirty mugs. I'm still wondering where the mugs actually come from; wouldn't you think tavernkeepers would sell "empty clean coffee mugs"?

Probably not, given there are already many of them out there in the world. In order to do anything about it to the degree people want, it would more than likely affect the server births as well.

What would people rather have, their appreciation in the knowledge that something they own is an actual server birth and not a copy cat item, because they owned it before hand? Or for their server birth to be hit by the same item change as the copy cat items? For those who have the legitimate ones, this only affects them in the sense that now they have no reason to re-sale the items. Because the item was still as it was before all this happened, that didn't change. It is still an old item that will never be obtained the way it originally was.

This thread is a good example of people putting more monetary value in their rares, as opposed to simply just appreciating their existence in the first place. And that's coming a person who sells every rare he gets, for the most part.

Because they're a nice decor item to have and shouldn't be exclusive to the rich... Personally, I'd like to see the recipe and the resources to make these given out as a quest reward. I would also like to see different versions of these be made available - a talking one (giving out random facts about the history and lore of UO), a musical one and also one like the singing ball - random in-game sounds..

doesnt make sense you need to cooking to make coffee. i know plenty of women (and men) who cant cook worth a damn but can make coffee no problem.

i think it was also a bad choice for a gift, as its supposed to be something for everyone but far from everyone has the cooking skill.
