Catskills: What do you need?

I'm going to get my general goods vendors up here shortly and thought I'd see what type of things you all may need craft-wise. I noticed a shortage on stone tables so I'll be adding that for sure. (Still have to GM Mining for stones, but should be there by the end of the week at the latest.)

I've got GM Alch, GM Carp and I'll gradually GM the rest of my girls. If there's a demand for something I can't provide now I'll work on that GM next. Just want to have a place on Catskills that has the general needs that can't be bought on npc-vendors and don't cost a mil just to buy. Luna is way over priced... seriously.

Anyway, tell me what you need and I'll try to accommodate. Also, if you'd like to place a vendor I've got 40 slots throughout the new house for vendor rentals. Bare in mind that placing a vendor at my house won't be for major profiting. I'm adamant about having reasonable prices for a change. Unless it's rares or something, there's no need for everything to be insanely expensive.

The hardest items to find for me are stone tables and chairs in any quantity. I realize that space on a vendor is limited, however selling a single chair in a colour makes it very hard to set up a dinning room.

Ohh.. I feel your pain. I wound up using two different color stone tables for my kitchen decoration.. actually lost them because I'm a ditz, but like I said I'll be GM mining soon so I can craft them myself.

Would a set be an ideal thing to sell or would you prefer just everything individually? Meaning, a set with a table and four chairs for x gold. Or just have enough chairs to tables in general?

Furniture sets are nice. There was a vendor a long while back that sold packages of stone furniture for the more common arrangements. I think they also sold crafty-type kits with an instruction book to make other "furniture" like pianos. It was nifty, but now is gone.

Yea.. once upon a time there was the library and vendors out in the forest... gosh, I don't remember the name of that place now. It was like a little town of awesome, though. They even had a small house with lockpick training and everything was resonably priced. Nothing was insane. But Luna took their business I think, that's why they shut down.

Travel Lodge Tower (TLT)? If that's it I don't think it was entirely Luna that ended it. The two that ran it had sort of a falling out plus they had so much work into it they kind of got burned out. They kept it going for years. Shops like TLT may have taken a hit by Luna but they were always well organized and stocked. And the rune library was well known by all. The place was always bustling. At any given time on any day rarely a minute would go by that someone wasn't recalling in to shop or use the library. A remarkable effort and a credit to our shard.

Near Yew there was the Travel Lodge, they've since pulled up stakes.

I think sets would be handy, and then separate pieces so folks who want 6 chairs could add 2 to the set they buy. There are very few places to find useful deco at a reasonable price, I look forward to finding your shop.

Well my miner is at 98.5 right now. The last few skill gains are the worst... like waiting for water to boil. I'm not doing anything eventful tomorrow, so I'll try to get her GM. I was looking into doing the plant dyes since I have a ton of plants. Of course, I should have known, I need crazy ingrediants to actually create it. I'm not much on the hunting aspect of UO to be honest, but I'll have to go hunt down some silver serpents, I guess. I'll get around to it.

I was a customer, like most people of The Travel Lodge and was very sad for it to go. There wasn't a long gap before the guys that ran it approached a member of my guild and a deal was met to purchase all the runebooks and keep this fine resource up and running. Sure, it's not in the same location, but it is still easily accessable near the Northwest corner of Luna. We all owe Lace of D|R for buying this business that we all benefit from. It may not have stone furniture, but certainly has many basics that aren't normally stocked anymore.....

Plain decorative plants for house decoration. While the new stains and dyes are very neat, it has left those of us who need to have plants in homes in a huge bind as 99% of all sellers are all sold out.

Also! Fun Fact! You dont actually have to be GM mining to get stone. If you have a pair of blacksmith mining gloves that get you up to 100 or beyond, that's enough to read the book that allows mining.
