More than thirty citizens descended on the Chamber of Virtue to discuss current events on Wednesday evening.

Reflections on Casca's declarations regarding war, taxation, and the removal of city independence were offered. His rise to power through the vote of an unknown council of nobles was questioned. Defense of the claim to Trinsic put forth by the Purple Guardians of Honor was discussed.

The idea of forming an independent, impartial judiciary was explored. A House of Commons was proposed, comprised of ordinary citizens elected by their peers.

Owain Surrey attended the gathering in the Chamber of Virtue, and was eventually forced to flee, pursued by the Royal Guard. He revealed himself at the Counselor's Guild, warned of the unknown council's intentions, stated Casca might be nothing more than a pawn, and bragged of killing three guardsmen, whom he claimed were gripped by madness.

Emissary Annendora was assaulted and knocked unconscious while walking from the wedding office to the Counselor's Guild.

Emissary Kasaven was reported kidnapped. A blue shield from Owain Surrey affixed to the floor of the Counselor's Guild accuses the Royal Guard of being involved, and indicates more information will follow.

Mouse traps, rumored to be put in place by Casca to catch Sherry the Mouse, have been placed throughout Britannia.

And I'd like to add, because I know you're reading Kas, that I love the way that this chain of events is being worked. I especially love the interactions between Casca and his representatives and PGoH in particular. Changing the HONOR Empire into outlaws can only yield good results, I promise! I only wish that I had the time to check out the events (being in Europe, I'm usually asleep when the good stuff happens).

Now questions for the general public:
When Owain was pursued by Royal Guards, were you given the opportunity to help him escape or aid in his pursuit?

Are there other groups who are being singled out by tax collectors, mercenaries, Royal Guardsmen or other NPC creations? Have you asked and not received (IC, that is)? I'm especially interested in hearing reactions from members of the larger guilds who may be interested in the chain of events as a story rather than as a source of income.

As a pirate, Aneirin is watching the HONOR empire with great interest (Enemies of the past are potentially allies in this conflict. A unified, organized central government is clearly NOT in the UP's best interest). At the same time, he is watching the roads to and from Britain in hopes of catching a tax collector alone or off guard. The lure of "liberating" tax gold is just too much for a poor pirate! (Hopes that EM Kasavan has love for the old school outlaws as well)

I will certainly be following these events and await what the following days bring.

Hell and damnation!
My ISP took his servers down without announcing it, at exactly 10:05 pm. I waited for an hour before I gave up. The evil thing is that the contract binds you to the provider for 24 months. 12 months more to go with this mess!

The United Pirates were to claim Jhelom (we use it as reloading point for contraband shipments), but never got the opportunity. Is there a log of what was said and discussed?

Yes Journal copies were made. I need to go through and clean them up before posting, but I got work to do today, so don't look for my copy till late this evening.
