Catalog Objects - will they still be sold in stores?

Will catalog objects completely disappear - and what is the eta on that?
Will stores still be expected to sell them?

Or maybe only the EA Store will sell them?

I'm trying to decide if I should keep stocking all those items or just sell everything off dirt cheap, and not bother restocking.

(Also in case we don't get credit for restocking them when they limit the money, it would be stupid for a store to keep selling catalog items.)

Anyone know?

We have been given very little information about catalog item availability for stores in the future. I have heard ideas discussed that would give stores floating/rotating catalogs to purchase from an availibity of items always changing. I've also heard mention that stores will be invited to bid on objects in EA auctions. Nothing has ever been confirmed as far as future EA object sales and how these might be put in game.

NO catalog objects wont completely disappear from the game, but I fear there won't be many sims that will find it worthwhile to sell them, because yes it will enlarge 'their' pool to restock their store, but it won't enlarge the buyers pool when they buy from a store, only when they buy from EA, so it's going to be interesting to see whether sims will buy from the catalog at a higher price to enlarge their pool, or go for buying from stores because the prices are cheaper. It's walking on a tightrope right now to know which way it's gonna go.....you're just gonna have to decide which course of action you want to take and go with it, and switch courses later if it's proven that you took the wrong course, kinda like trying to find a new place without the benefit of a map....lots of trial and error.

Thank you all for your replies, I think I'm leaning towards selling everything off dirt cheap tomorrow... It costs way too much to ever keep &gt; 6 items in some warehouse somewhere to get the lower prices.

Nobody can pay the lower prices anyway and never will.

Better to cut your losses I guess.
(And only focus on cc)
