Casting Gate

Ok... maybe Im just not getting it,....

Why when I cast gate do I have such a hard time entering the gate? Keeps saying you dont have the cohesion to enter that yet.... or somethign to that affect. I try running back and forth, standing on the gate and double clicking... what gives? Is there some special trick? any help is appreciated..

do not go into or click the gate until the "gate opening" sound is completed. About 3 seconds after gate appears. I had your same trouble until somebody told be that little tidbit.

I also think that when you just walked through a gate, you have to wait a bit before being able to enter the next gate.

The coding is a bit buggy for gates.

The "cohesion" message came about because when there wasn't a delay, a glitch would sometimes "Black hole" a person going through - take them to a non-existant space and strand them there.

With the "cohesion" system, this doesn't happen anymore, but that system is a little buggy and sometime makes it harder than normal to use a gate.

Note that the more gates you use in a 1-2 minute period, the more likely you'll get a "cohesion" message (which is intentional, even if the problems with using a gate for the first time in hours or days, isn't).
