Casino could use some love...

I am of the opinion that the Casino on Fire Island could use some more developer attention. It currently has 3 games, which is fine, but would it be possible to add something like a roulette table, slot machines, or maybe some Texas Hold 'Em? Call it Vesper Hold 'Em if you like, for lore continuity. How awesome would that be, players could bet against one another and the casino could get a small rake <gold sink> off of the pot. You could have both High roller and low roller tables going all hours of the day.

You want to talk about community getting together, combine the addiction of UO with player interactive gambling and people would flock to it 24/7. Maybe have a daily jackpot for best hand to keep em coming back. Oh and give those beverage serving girls some alcohol!! Free lobster dinners! I really believe this would be a hit. Just have folks buy-in the chips like it already exists and create some kind of table to sit at and have at it. I am no programmer but it doesn't have to be complicated, just functional. Any thoughts?

The in real life casinos around here have special events each month with special prizes.

It couldn't hurt to have a random prize once per month of any object in the game that a player is allowed to own, this includes low level powerscrolls. Don't make it easy but make it possible.

Let me see, free birthday buffet, toasters (not for UO), t shirts and playing cards and caps named for the casino. The clothing in an unusual color might be easy enough to convert for UO purposes.

We for sure want this to be easy for the devs to implement.

I mentioned low level powerscrolls because with the advent of scroll binders and now powerscroll books its difficult for new and returning players to get their hands on 105 and the more preferred 110 powerscrolls, they just don't exist anymore, so we need another option to obtain these.

Awesome I am glad I'm not alone then! My main point is that they built us this wonderful casino to play in and would like to see it given a little attention! I went today and made a mill off of the Chuckle's Luck game and it was fun, even if I was the only one there. I still want to take other people's money in poker though!! Maybe get some tiered Gambler titles kind of like the Gladiator ones in the Arena!!

Neat sure. Something I would want to see the developers take time on...nope. Too many other things the developers could be working on...la

I dont really think it takes a lot of time to implement uo holdem. Moreover, I do think that it would attract the largest ammount of ppl to check it out than any other possible change.
