carpet on top of goza mats?

Anyone else tried this? Everytime i do this, it looks AWESOME...for about 10 minutes. After that the carpet falls through the mats and ends up under it and it takes me 45 minutes to pull them back up. I'm basically trying to do a jet black floor on my keep using goza mats, and have a red carpet running the length of the halls

Edit: just noticed another oddity, if i mount an ethy in the room after i've placed a piece of carpet, it happens immediately on mount. Her's a 100% way to test it. Place a goza mat on the floor. Place carpet on the goza mat. Now mount an ethy. BAM! the carpet falls to 1 spot below the goza mat, effectively switching places with it.

Double Edit: Right after posting this i may have found a solution, the carpets seem to be non-blocking, so here's what i did, it seems to work.

1. Place a plan/junk goza on the spot you want to put the carpet, raise it up twice
2. place a goza the color you want under the carpet under the other goza just placed
3. lower the top goza once
4. place the carpet on the top goza
5. mount an ethy
6. axe the top goza

Triple freaking edit: (if you haven't guessed this is more or less a live log of me trying to get this working)
it works...but breaks the second anyone mounts or casts gate while standing on top of it, looks like the only way to get black under the carpet edges is to place carpet on carpet :/ (buy a bunch of the plain panels, and dye them black to go under the carpet. Can't just do the edges either because it elevates them and the black shines through at the seam :/)

Take goza mats (use the ones with the borders) place them were you are going to put the red carpet. Raise them up once place the red carpet axe the goza mats. Next place the black carpet on the floor then place goza mats (use the ones with the borders).Raise them up once then place the edge pieces down, and axe the goza mats. the edge pieces should stay on top, and with the red carpet raised up once. the black carpet should not bleed thru.

That's more or less what i ended up doing, the issue wasn't with the carpet bleeding through though, the carpet works fine (just annoyingly hard to place when you're doing 40-50 of them). The issue was i was trying to use a goza floor, it looks a little bit better and doesn't make it hard to place items on top (the carpet doesn't match the color of the goza mats, not quite, there's a faint line where they meet)


My method was a little different though.

1. place a goza mat
2. raise the goza mat twice
3. place the black carpet UNDER the goza mat and lock it
4. drop the goza mat once
5. place the red carpet on top of the goza mat and lock it
6. mount ethy (it sounds strange but this for some reason makes the goza pop up above the carpet, just making it easier to axe without needing last target on it)
7. axe goza mat.

At 500 gold per square the keep was expensive enough to carpet, now i need to spend 1k per tile :/

I'd probably:

1 Place goza mats on every tile (the square ones with borders).

2 Then raise every goza that will have a carpet tile on it one time.

3 Now place the carpets on the goza and lock them down.

4 Dismount/remount to pop the goza mats up over the carpet.

5 Then lower all the gozas down one tile.

It is actually really great that carpet tiles don't block movement - I had some success with getting them down over stairs (you walk thru them), on the upper floor you can put whatever deco (as long as it doesn't block, I did plants) it is over them and it's like you have hidden stairs. It's an extra 4 squares of decorating area anyways. It's very good for maintaining the integrity of the design, and I'm definitely going to do it again (soon! I hope)
