Carefull! Lost my draggy to the new event gate :(

There seems to be a bug with the new gate, although I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else yet.

As I was going from the fake Moonglow to the real one through the gate my bonded 6xgm Super Dragon was killed by spawn. When I went back into the fake one I saw the ghost of my draggy but noticed I could not command it. I rezed it up, healed it up, but still couldn't command it. I checked my followers and was now 0 out of 5, but my draggy was standing right next to me, still blue, still bonded, but not accepting commands. I tried logging out and back in and when I did he was gone forever, not in my stables, not anywhere else.

So take caution with this gate.

To many bad commands and they will unbond, and down there unbonded drag is gonna die. Sorry bud, you shoulda paid attention, if it wasn't listening to your commands. You shoulda been feeding it.

Did you listen to a word OP said?

He said it was still blue, still bonded. He ressed it up, healed it. NO it had not gone wild because those actions can't be performed on (most) untamed creatures.

Anyways, to the OP... sorry about your dragon.

I don't think its just happening with the event gate.

I had a giant beetle bonded with my archer in doom and I left doom with it still being in doom. When I ported out with the gate, my control slot went from to 0. I think it has to do with the new pet commands, if you don't have the pet set to follow command or something like that and you leave the sub server via gate/recall it will bug out.

The reason I say that is when I was about to leave doom, I decided to not risk my beetle from killing by spawns and I asked it to stay.

I mean I'm not going to risk another bonded pet to test my theory but I guess it is possible to test it on test center.....

I lost a dragon earlier also but ended up getting him back. My dragon died and I tried to get him to come to the gate. He wasn't coming with me so I left and logged out and in and the dragon was gone. He did not show in my followers and was not in the stable. I went back in looked around but he was gone.
I went in later on with my mage and there was my dragon dead, so I got on my tamer brought her where he was, logged in and out and he came to me.
The whole time until he came to me I showed 0 followers. I rezed him and he is fine now.

We're you able to stable him without having to go through another gate?

I think I rezed him outside the gate. On Catskills there is a dragon in there looking for an owner. I think people don't even realize since they show ) followers.

I lost a fire steed in ALT-Glow this morning. Was trying out my pair of trained, bonded steeds and both died pretty quick

. I tried to pull them out of the battle almost as soon as it started since they were getting owned. I saw the first one's ghost and yelled all follow me. The second one followed me away from the mob as it died and the other just disappeared. Looked all over the area and tried logging in and out in both normal-Glow and ALT-Glow. Followers count dropped as if it were an unbonded pet that had died.

You're right. I tell mine to follow me, but the new dragon I been training will not follow me through the teleporter into Despise. Even with a "all follow" right before dropping in, Ive had to log in and out to bring it into Despise twice.

There is another similar post over on the tamer’s forum. They mess with the pet code and pets start disappearing.

I lost a swamp dragon to the event gate. 0/5 followers and nothing was in the stable. I double clicked my petball for him and got him back. If you have him on a petball you might want to try that.

All my pets are hooked up to a summoning ball, and I keep them in my bank box for each one of them. I grab the ball I need for the pet Im going to use that night. I started doing that because I have a old WW that when I ise take out of the stable to kill stuff with, it decides in the middle of a fight to leave POOF gone no where to be found, not a good thing for me when it would do that. LOL
even if they are dead you can summons them. so yes it is best to have your pets hooked up to a petball. If they dont respond make sure your in the area you lost them in.
