Captain's Wheel?!?!?

okay so i got the captains bundle.. dock one ship and put out my new BIG Whale.

WTH, the Captain wheel can't be placed on the ship??

What is point of a sextant house addon in a inmobile home. Either put some wheels on my house or let us put on the boat..

I was excited no more lost sextant. Now i am disapointed.

Dev guys and gals... is this right? or is mine bugged.

ya same here and then it got worst I tried out the new colors and then I was even more upset than before and just to rub it in you cant even give that crap away. talk about a real life gold sink bahh.

I have left this game many times every time I come back the time back is shorter and shorter and the time gone keeps getting longer. Not sure why I cant just pull the plug on this, most be some false since of hope I have and remembering how exciting uo was back in 99.

ohhh.. hmmmm... well i have to admit some of the colors arent quite what i expected for the ships... but there is a nice dark blue and a dark red when you use the weathered tub... i went with the dark blue personally

I put the color selection up in the last picture and also I would have put the rest up which are not dark red or dark blue in the new 2 tone colors look at the last pic. I can NOT upload any more pics not enough memory here to do it, unless a mod wants to show me how to add more.

I will start working on the weathered tub colors which are not the "Duo/Two-Tone Paint Dyes" the colors I have posted are and NONE of them are "deep tone" colors they are all pastel colors like the 5th year vet tubs, all are just plain ugly and seem to only be for the less masculine type players imo

Don't mind olfuofan, he's been hating on those colors along with the metal dye tub colors for a while now, lol.

I think colors are fine, but wont protest for bring in more.

I don't hate the colors in the tub, but I do find the selection of colors I would be likely to use extremely small, and therefore do not find the tub a worthwhile selection as opposed to say, another soulstone.

Moreover, what really gets me is the continued fragmentation of color schemes available for different types of materials. The fact that some of the newer cloths are limited by event availability is disconcerting as well. Not that I am particularly keen on wearing them, but I am guessing that those who do like the highlighted color display would appreciate the ability to make some kind of coordinated ensemble.

Will the Pilots Wheel be fixed so it can mount on a ship?

When I bought the booster pack and saw the ships wheel, I thought I was paying for a piece of BOAT DECO for my new Brittanian Ship. I would NOT have purchased the Captain's Bundle if I had know the Pilots Wheel was only good for house deco.

...and to mirror the complaints of others on the dye tubs... for something I had to pay real $$ for the number of available colors is not worth it.

All-in-all, I feel ripped-off paying extra for the Captain's Bundle.

The dyes UGLY bright and bold ..... I wanted DARKER colors.

I don't care about the OOo double bright fairy colors.

I don't want a carnival ship.... I want a WAR ship.... 9 guns blazing...

I want DARK navy blue.... I want DEEP forest Greens..... I want Chocolate Browns.... Midnight blue.... BLACK...... DARK DARK Gray...... And Crimson Red, not cotton candy pink and pastel green, baby blue..... (*&(*& that.

And yes the captains wheel is a joke.

Gee I always wondered the co-ordinates of my wall there!?..... NOT.

I've asked and asked for better paints.

Bring up an interesting point here. Which leads to a question:

Has any dev mentioned that this wheel should be able to be placed on a boat? The captains wheel has been out for some time now and I would think a comment should have been made after so much time.

It seems a little silly for the ship's wheel to be completely unusable on a ship.
Technically, too, the function of the wheel to give lat/long coordinates really is next-to-useless on a structure that's only ever really going to move through continental drift.

I suppose the original intention was that it could be placed on the bigbigbig ship, and it would do the thing it's supposed to, but if that didn't work right for an unfixable reason, then they'd probably just say "no placing on boats for you!" and turn that ability off.
The deed-place item could retain the coordinates it was originally placed at as far as the sextant code goes, or its position could be relative to the ship which might make it completely unable to report its position properly (new boat movement code and all).
Either way, I'm inclined to conclude that if it can't be placed on boats by now, then it probably isn't something I should hold my breath for.

Maybe the reasoning is, all the shps already have a wheel, they don't need 2? Therefore this one is decorative, as such things quite often were used by decor in the homes of sailors in centuries gone by.

Somebody in EA's beancounter division will take notice of a dramatic drop in the Gamecode Store's income and raise a fuss over it.

The EA Management will get asked "why did this sudden change happen?"

I suspect the problem's you are complaining about will stop happening to get the bottom line back up to where it had been so the beancounters get off UO managements back.

The bottom line is what counts.
