Can't use potions kegs on locked down Plants ?!?

I'll answer anyway... your potions have to be in bottles. 
I'll answer also.. 
I lock down all my potted seeds all over house so I have the freedom to tend them any hour of the day .. between server up and server down.
Carry four kegs GHeal GStrength GCure GPoison in backpack and never-ending = jug of water. Click on the plant pots or plants for plant menu, and click on the potion or water required on the plant menu.
