Can't update UOAM

So I was having issues with UOAM continually trying to 'resynch' the map bmp files which started yesterday evening, it would try to resynch every time I loaded UOAM... but only since yesterday.

So I tried to reinstall it, but now, UOAM will not "update". I install the base installation and load UOAM, it tries to download uoam.exe and some other file apparently from Tugsoft's server and it times out. Have tried it all yesterday evening and this morning with no effect.

UOAM just times out on the download and then tells me the program has not been fully installed and to try again later.

Anyone have any ideas on how to update UOAM and get it current? As it stands I can't use it at all :/

Thanks for any advice!

UOAM was discontinued as far as I know. There will be no further updates.

1) Uninstall UOAM.
2) Icepick out the majority of the functioning part of your brain.
3) Install KR.
4) Go to UO Stratics and post 300 messages stating, "Rah, rah, rah! Go UO go." Don't forget to include the posts saying you would like UO to be harder so would they please start implementing random changes as soon as possible.

All will now be well. Or at least you can't tell because most of your brain is now gone.

Seriously, you are screwed. Try to find a backup of the latest patched UOAM folder or get the latest folder from a trustworthy buddy.

And vow to never uninstall unsupported, self-patching software ever again.

Um, yeah... UOAM has been 'unsupported' for some time but people format their machines all the time. Frankly your response is quite Lawl.

Anyone actually know what they're talking about...?

Not if they want to keep their software that will no longer patch itself working, no generally not.

Not for anyone in particular, heh, the point is that people don't read the actual issue... people reformat and reinstall stuff all the time and to say that you just shouldn't ever uninstall UOAM again is really not correct

Considering it patched, oh, say, a week ago when my friend installed and another friend reformatted, I'd say this problem has nothing to do with the fact UOAM is no longer updated. Tugsoft's server is down but there has to be a way to get ahold of them to get it back online :/

LOL! Well good luck getting that server back online.

If you do figure it out, come tell us how. Not that I care, but someone else might.

Just go to their website UOAM & DL the last one, Think it was Beta 8.3.0.0 I just lost all my HD's (3 of them) in a wicked crunch (crash would be minor) and I reinstalled from the site & it works just fine (2D) Not a thing missing.

For all ye naysayers and those who didn't really read the original question... it was Tugsoft's fault and the issue is now fixed. Simple e-mail to the Tugsoft guy resolved it... sometimes it pays to not accept the first answer given to you guys.
