[Blacksmithing] Can't smelt colored crafted items

My blacksmith is at 120 and I crafted some colored (Dull Copper, Copper) items with an ordinary smith hammer. Evertime I try to smelt them, I can't and a text appears "You have no idea how to work this metal". I have no problem smelting colored loot items. I tried with and without Salvage Bag, on different forges and with both clients. What am I doing wrong?

I soulstoned Mining away a few weeks ago and totally forgot about that.
