Can't Leave Factions?

I have a char in TB on GL. I have for months tried to remove him from the faction. Each time I go to the faction stone and choose to resign I get the message that I will be removed from the faction in three days. However, three days, four days, five days now, months later I am still in TB. I have tried multiple times to remove him from the faction to no avail. I have paged for a GM but did not get any response, in game or email or otherwise.

A guild member said he just recently pulled a char from TB and it removed him after the tree days.

Anyone else having this issue or am I forever stuck in TB since I cannot get a GM to respond?

This might work: Use another account or have a friend set up a new guild . Have the guild leader of that new guild join TB. Have the guild leader invite your character to join that guild. Then have the guild leader quit TB. That should force every character that is in the guild out of factions in 3 days.
