Can't buy Stygian Abyss. ORIGIN

So, I'm very keen on coming back to UO, however I can't purchase the Stygian Abyss expansion?!

It seems none of the Ultima Online products are available through the South African Origin store. Yes South Africa has internet and some of us have even played UO.

This is very strange considering I purchased the game and all prior expansion online before the move to Origin. I'm still able to reactivate my subscription through the account management.

Anyone else had this problem, how did you get around it?

Use an US proxy or VPN to access the US store.
That is the only way. Don't count on Origin to add Ultima Online items to it's store.

I am waiting since it was launched for Stygian Abyss to be added to the Brazil store. Almost three years later and it is still not there.

I have a Lowerping subscription and they now offer a US based web proxy as part of the service, so I'll give it a try later. I have a sneaking suspicion that my credit card will probably be blocked in the store because it's not a US CC.

Completely unnecessary to have to jump through these hoops to make a legitimate purchase.

I had the same problem from Thailand. How did I get around it? Sent a guild mate some money via PayPal to get me a code.

Sadly, the UO team has no power over the Origin store team, so they can't do much to help us.
All they can do is try to put pressure on them, but EA has the final word, and it is letting the Origin team screw things up pretty badly.

To buy a third copy of Stygian Abyss, I logged on a dedicated server of mine that is hosted in the US to make the purchase in the US Origin Store and used Paypal as the payment option.
You can try to use your international credit card to make the purchase, as I don't think the store will block it. But if it does, use the Paypal payment option.
Paypal won't block your card.
