Can we get shop wagons with a vendor we can place somewhere for a week?

I'm one of those Crafter types, could we get wagons with a couple of vendors on it we can set up with items that we can park by a town or at a rares event and sell items for up to a week? It could help make the towns more active and be downright fun. There are spots like the open area by Britain East Bank that would work well for it. :)

my husband and I have a long discussion about this. It basically was town stalls to sell your wares. you would rent them, much like New Magencia for a week. They cold use the tents for this or a smaller version so you could have a small temporary container if you forget to claim your stuff after a week. EVERYTHING POOFS! :D

I have the traveling tinker's wagon you read about in novels in mind. I'd like to be able to park it by a crossroads or someplace people have gathered for an event so that they can browse our goods while talking or taking a break from the event. Where ever it happens to be.

I like the idea, think there are lots of places in town, where they would fit. If the style is a Tent or a Gypsy wagon don't matter that much.
They should work much like a Tent, with a secure box, that only can be accessed of your account. It should work like a community box.
Allow 2 vendors
Allow 3 mini add ons, like a forge, anvil and soulforge or maybe spin, loom and soulforge or maybe an oven and tables and bench outside to serve the food.
It should not be possible to make the wagon/tent private or close the door.
If you do not take it down, when the week are over, your items on vendors and in secure should go to the npc at bank, that also hold your stall items if you lose your stall and you have to go there and claim them. They will only stay there a week. Your gold on vendors should go to your bank.

The stall should be handled like the New Magincia stalls, just at this places, there are more tiles to the renter and they are placed near road, crossroads, near dungeons, at large empty places in town, at the edge of town. A few could be boats at large dogs like New Magincia. They should not be able to move.

All this could be a booster pack, so money to Broadswords.

I'm all about more retail space in the traditional virtue cities. As long as the 'moving wagon' aspect of the original poster's proposal isn't abused (i.e., Haven and Brit Bank suddenly being loaded w. portable vendors every other tile), it could be a very viable idea.

I've essentially been asking for something like this since 2012, when I first created a thread titled "Gypsy Wagons for Players" (which seems to no longer be available when I search for it). I had envisioned having a gypsy wagon that could be moved to different locations as needed. For myself, I wanted my character to be able to role-play a traveling gypsy chef, with her own wagon equipped for cooking/baking (and limited storage, of course, such as the limits for a ship).

Like Tanivar, I believe the addition of a variety of crafter-suitable wagons would be a very good addition to UO. Unfortunately, although the basic concept of a moveable and useful wagon received quite a bit of support from a significant number of posters, the Devs dismissed the idea. :(

When I used the search option on UHall today I couldn't find the link, even though I searched twice. A few minutes ago I checked my old private messages and finally found it. (I had sent it to someone in a PM). Here it is:

http://stratics.com/threads/gypsy-wagons-for-players.276218/

Note that the last post on this quite long thread was May 18, 2015, so it had been active up until then. I just wish the Devs would look at all the feedback that was offered by players (7 pages worth) and reconsider their decision to dismiss the idea.

I'm not sure how helpful wagons would be to most players now that we have vendor search, although maybe more people still shop by just browsing than I realize.
The biggest use I can see for the wagons is for players without a house on that shard, giving them a way to vendor their goods.

The role-playing community would certainly find it a welcome addition for many reasons. As Tanivar said, the wagon would be good for crafters setting up by towns, rares festivals, and other events. It would also be a boon to those who want to do what I had envisioned for my gypsy. I honestly think the idea has as much (if not more) merit than some other things previously introduced to the game.
