Can we get a reason for the thread lock?

The thread titled "This is sad..." is now locked. Whoever did it couldn't be bothered to even add a single line message to the end letting us know why, or even more importantly... who we needed to contact about it.

Since there are SEVERAL mods to this forum I'm asking this publicly since I really don't have a name for a PM.

If it violates the rules then fine. If you're deleting/moving/locking threads then it's just a common courtesy to make a post so that folks know who to contact with questions.

So, who locked the thread and why? You can PM me if you want to, that's fine.

Their decision was to make a UO Thief and a UO PvP Thief forum. And the reason was because PvP Thieves don't feel that stealing off monsters and crate thieving is PvP, which it isn't. That's why they couldn't answer any questions related to stealing off monsters or crate theiving, which is why they wanted people to stop posting questions they couldn't answer on their forum.

So I can see why they don't feel there's any need for it to be discussed further. It has nothing to do with the game.

Now I got 2 threads locked about a legitimate issue and they didn't give a reason I assume because they assumed I knew the reason but I didn't. Another poster had to tell me in PM. I still believe it is a legitimate gameplay issue though.

Just because the deadline for deleting these houses passed doesn't mean they still shouldn't be deleted. Some of the houses were deleted and some weren't. That's not fair to those whose houses were deleted and lost items.

That way we have a point of contact. I hate to point this out... but without those of us that create the discussions and content for this board... all they have is a domain address. It's the user's that make the board work.

Yeah when my threads were locked I had to PM 10 different mods to get an answer why it was locked, still no response.

If you bothered to look, it was unlocked after cleaning of the abusive posts.

BTW if you have problems with moderation use the proper avenues which are either PM or email and NOT reopening closed threads and/or discussing moderating decisions in public.
