Can somone tell me what the new timers is for quitting factions I cannot find it?

Quitting a Faction
The act of quitting a faction has several restrictions. The most noteworthy is that the process takes at least seven days to complete. This seven-day restriction is designed to prevent "faction hopping" and help develop some reasonable sense of permanence within the factions. The specific rules for quitting a faction are described below:
Individual players are able to resign from a Faction by resigning at the Faction stone. The player will remain in the Faction for seven (7) days. After seven days, the player will be removed upon the next login.
But stratics isn't always updated frequently

It is 3 days.. when you quit a faction it tells you on the bottom left side of screen.
The change was made in May 2008 in Publish 52, along with several other changes: http://update.uo.com/design_590.html.
Once your character has started the quit process, he can say, "What is my faction term status" to find out exactly how much longer he will be in factions.
Occasionally, folks seem to have trouble getting their characters out of factions. If that happens to you, there's a suggestion in this thread from back in September on another way to get out of factions: http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?t=100088 .

I know everyone is explaining how to quit a faction but I would reallllly like to know the EXACT steps i take to resign. do i double click on the faction signup stone? do i go to the faction sign up stone and walk around it three times counterclockwise while humming the theme song to Mash? or what is it I have to say/do/recite/quote/*&%^(^&%(&^ to leave ma faction.
I did resign from the guild first but from then on it's hopless to me.

It's as easy as accessing that stone in your factions HQ.
Everything after that is clicking that button that says something along the lines of "resign" or something like that.
