can crafters add tactics or anatomy to skills?

I'm new to NL and kinda lost... don't know what I'm doing or what's going on.. I started a smith and following the story line. I have smith, mining and swords but right now all I can kill is mongbats it seems. Can't seem to find a way to add tactics or anatomy. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sorry, but crafters can only add other crafting skills. Taking swords to GM will be helpful in gathering leather for tailoring
