[Archery] Can archers use UBWS weapons?

I used the Fey Swatter with my archer, but was getting few hits. Does Use Best Weapon Skill work for archery? I know bows no longer come with UBWS, but want to know if archery skill is counted as a weapon skill.

unfortunately it doesn't..

Oddly enough it lets you use the specials if the wep is UBWS, but you don't get the chance to hit/defend that you would with a weapon skill.

Really? no USWS for Archery?
I thought if you had 120 Archery that you can use a UBWS sword and get almost same benefits except can't use Evasion.
I'm confused now. There goes my plan.

I can verify that UBWS weapons will not work with an archer. I tested it myself and haven't whiffed so many times since I was 8 yrs old playing whiffle ball...
