can anyone explain casting focus?

Seems to me the max is currently 10% (5 % from skill and 5 from items)

how does it work and is there a cap other than the amount of arties with it? can it be imbued?

how effective is it vs protection?

anyone?

Casting Focus has a cap of 12% from items and GM Inscription gives an additional 5%, see here:

Casting Focus works similar to Protection in that your spells cannot be interrupted, but there are differences between the two. Here are the highlights:
Protection (3rd Cirlcle Magery spell)
Spells Never Interrupted from Damage
Lowers your Physical Resist (can compensate with armor).
Lowers you Resisting Spells skill (can compensate with +skill items).
Lowers your Casting Speed.
Can be cast from a scroll with a 45% chance of success without Magery.

Casting Focus (Item Property)
Percentage chance that a spell will not be interrupted (equal to your total % Casting Focus (meaning it won't always work)
Capped at 12% from items
Bonus 5% from GM Inscription (in addition to the item cap)
This property cannot be imbued on items.

awesome info thank you all. 17% max is interesting. i use one on my mage at 2% (7%total) and it catches me off guard, I naturally recast when I see a spell 'interupting' me. But with this, you get the same animation of interupt but a message saying, 'you continue casting because of your uber cf' ... takes some getting used to.
