Can a pure melee character PVP without Tactics?

Can a pure melee character (arch/sword/fence/mace) PVP without Tactics?


Most of my characters dont have Tactics and i am deciding which characters to add it to and which to not

Can a melee char survive in PVP without Tactics.


I would assume i can drop Focus/Med or Resist for tactics but if i load up on dex and MR could i get by with weapon damage and added offense from skills (chiv/Bush)

If you don't have tactics and you're relying on your weapon doing the damage - you will not be a successful PvPer.

On a PvP dexxer, no tactics=insurance donor.

You can pretty much follow the weapon training guide, which there are many postings on this forum.

Buy tactics to 40 in new haven. equip the dread pirate's hat for 10 tact, and put on 15 ring/brace. get a 100% dmg poison wep and hit a golem, or (and more preferable in my experience) an arctic ogre lord. Do that all the way to 120 or however high you take it.

Well it goes up pretty fast anyways...especially if it is one of the first skills you're training.
