Buying Weapons Buying: splintering swordsmanship weapon for sampire

Just as the title says. Looking for a nice splintering (non-brittle or other bad mods) for a sampire. I have never tried one so if you have one please share and explain why you think it’s good

1. Do you know, how splinter works?
2. Do your sampire will be able to be alive in PvP even a couple of mins? (Healing, EP 50, resist 120)
If all questions Yes - you need one weapon for disarm with HLD, and other one for damage - fast, with good cast spell. And keep in mind, that your sampire will have low mana for spam with specials.

The answer is no and no. Is splintering only for pvp? I thought it caused bleed from what I read online.

Yep, splint will not work in pvm, and why everyone wants clean - non brittle or antique splint
When splint proc it will "eat" durability of weapon, so you need to repair and poff it every day.

Ahh okay didn’t know that about splinter... thanks for the clarification of that... so I guess I should change this to a nice pvm swordsmanship weapon for just getting back into sampire

you dont need that for pvp on sampire. ive gotten plenty of kills while spawing (as long i stay surrounded by spawn and just keep whirlwinding)

if your trying to just pvp with no spawn around on a sampire, well then yes you need those things. but i dont know why anyone would be doing that.

@Planters splintering will proc on a pvm mob, its just not of much benefit. It can be nice to have a splintering weapon on a sampire, in case you get raided it can slow them down so you can catch and kill them in the spawn, but its your not going to be using it on the actual mobs.

I like to carry splinter hatchet on my sampire. Disarm and AI is sexy.

This is making more sense now. I thought when I was talking to this other sampire (joe dirty) that he was saying he always used splintering when he killed stuff. Must have meant when he was doing a spawn. I misunderstood him on that
