Buying regs

Whoo boy. Is this a pain. Can we please set it for a FIRM 15 minutes to have the npc respawn? This 30-60 minute spawn now is horrid. We have lives you know. Not trying to be ridiculous here, just wanted to buy 1000-2000 of each for personal use! I am not a dealer! rolleyes:

Honestly, I think they should just make the reagents respawn at 500, just like arrows and scrolls.

I can't think of a reason to sell reagents in such low amounts as a newly spawned vendor does.

Wow. I haven't had this problem for a while now. Mark a rune, to the mage shops in:
West Brit, East Brit, North Glow, Delucia, Luna, Skara. The trick is to make the rounds, buying from all the mages in the shop when you do. And buy them all, seems to me it makes them respawn a bit faster? and respawn more. Might just be wishful thinking tho
Usually tho, by the time I make the round, (stopping to chat with peeps as I am prone to do) the cycle can be restarted.

Or, find a PC vendor selling them cheap. On our shard, we have several commercial vendors priced equal too or just 1 gp above the npcs.

How I gather my regs is pretty boring, but it works for me.

I take my mage to Wind with her beetle and packy and make the rounds to all the npcs. By the time I finish a round the vendors have respawned. I dump it all in my bank box and start the next round.

No bother with recalling all over, Wind is hardly ever visited, it offers many shops all in running distance, there's two inns, and the bank. Lag isn't something I worry about there.

Downsides are you can't recall in, you have to have 75 magery to enter, and you have to get past the occassional liche or daemon. I cast a few spells, set my guards macro, and make a run for town guard zone.

i dont see why they dont change it, with lrc suits and the current economy i just buy regs as i need them for my scribe.

it would be super to make them spawn 500 of each like they do the useless scrolls.

if that was the case i could buy 500 and walk on and go do something else...
also they do need to change one more thing, having 999 blank scrolls fall to the ground when you buy them.. why doesnt it just make you go overweight and let you place the item in your pack animal?

i dont know how many times i bought 999 blank scrolls and had them scooped up by some hidden stealther..

npc's goods for sale just need a complete overhaul in general. Players should'nt have to farm npcs for goods like reagents, but they should'nt also left to buy them from scripters either.
