Buying Frostwood

Hello all,

I am looking to buy some Frostwood - I am hoping to get 40K worth (want to get a few Libruary and Museum rewards). I am counting on there being a couple people who managed to store a lot prior to the changes to lumberjacking.

On the subject of the changes - they are a bit overboard I think. I spent many hours checking the whole of Buc's Den and a fair amount of Fire Island and not a single Frost was to be found (assuming I did not miss a tree)

. Now to me that is just silly - surely after all those tress I should I found ONE!!

If it is as random as that, then going on those stats I could conceivably never get a single frostwood no matter how hard I try!! I am certainly not going to spend hours and hours just to get few Frostwood - besides making UO even more boring than it is - I'd end up with RSI chopping 1000's of trees in the vain hope that one might have what I need.

I am working on the hypothesis that the luck involved in finding a Frostwood tree is similar to that for playing cards - and as the saying goes, "unlucking at cards, lucky at love". I console myself by knowing my luck for finding Frostwood, is like my luck at playing cards, I am unlucky

By the time you gather enough frost or cut enough it would be easier to kill monsters and donate gold !
Frost is now like hens teeth if you lucky you may get 100 logs a day and tomorrow it will change again
My current status is 1.4 million plain logs to gather 20k of frost and arrows not worth the effort any more as well
Its a challenge if you are up to it but along with other areas of the game the work v reward is now a bit skewy
