How do you get those anyways? Can you still get them randomly somehow? I remember they were all over the place on Sonoma before I left to come to Siege. People would drop them on the floor at the bank.

But I am on so infrequently, that I'm afraid that the fish would just die. I've tried plants- they are always dead before I can return. I imagine the fish would just be the same- I read you have to feed and do water changes frequently.

Yes, daily, and the stuff to feed them with isn't cheap, not to mention the cost of the fish in the first place. Which is why, when I got an aquarium in a 'crafter's satchel' doing quests in Heartwood I didn't do anything with it.
