I looked for a couple months, spammed in Luna, spammed on forums, to find mine. He's beautiful and, indeed, the best bug I've seen...but he's not a 4 or higher. The thing about running rune beetles through the pet power calc is, the calculator issues scores based on percentages. Because of this, skill points are weighted very differently depending on whether the pet type has high median skills/stats/resists, or low median skills/stats/resists.
Here's an example. When you have a greater dragon, whose skills, stats, and resists are typically very high, each individual skill/stat/resist point is "less valuable," in a sense. A greater can have a max HP of 1000 hits...but given the right skills/stats, you may find a dragon with below 900 hits that still rates 4.0 or higher. Why? Because a greater has many skill/stat/resist points and, therefore, can afford to lose quite a few before its rating is affected.
A rune beetle, on the other hand, has lower skills, lower resists, and lower stats. Accordingly, if it is down only a couple of points, say, in its fire resist, it's rating will be greater affected, because it has fewer median points overall. It's points are weighted more heavily than a greater. Are you following me?
In a nut shell, you'll have an easier time finding a 4+ greater than a 4+ rune beetle. I'd worry less about the calculator and more about the actual skills/stats/resists. Here's what I'd look for:
If you have 90% resists (poison can even be a little lower, as it will be very high no matter what) and decent HP, then it's worth looking at. Next, you're looking for 160 dex, 120+ poison, and as close to 110 eval as possible. 160 dex, 120+ poison, 110 eval = very fast DP. Find a bug with these items, you're in business.
