Bushido or Ninja, that's my question

howdy,


First off I'd like to start out with saying this is for Siege, so keep in mind I'm not gonna have anything blessed besides my bow, which ever I decide to run at the time.

I've been getting a little bored with the lack of damage that my template puts out in PvP. Don't get me wrong, I do some damage but I want some crazy finishing move that Bushido or Ninja can afford.

Right now I'm looking at:

115 Archery
110 Anatomy
100 Detect
100 Chiv
95 Healing
100 Resists
100 Tactics

However, i've got ninja and bushido stonned at 115 each and I'd gladly lower chiv to get them in the mix.

I was wondering who runs what and how they are most effective? I like to pvp mostly but I do champ spawns and peerless so I wanted to keep on the Chiv.

Is there anyone out there who runs a similar template? I'd like to hear from some cats who are pretty knowledgeable in this regard. Again, do bear in mind I won't be using anything aside from throw away helms and arties on my suit so we can't get into "uber" talk. Thanks in advance and i'll be patient.

I'd go with Bush for critical, confidence,
Ninjitsu DS is a waste of time PERIOD, even if you have stealth and hide.
Ninjitsu is only good for animal form if you get dismounted, thats it

i thought i'd try bush on my archer (currently has ninj scrolled to 115) turns out i didnt like it.

i don't have tracking to get full use of death strike but still i found that i would auto target creatures before i could honor them..... just somthing i did't like about it just my 2 cents.

not to mention IMO bush is not nearly as effective for a ranged char as oppossed to up front melee. soul frags r cheap just try it for yourself i feel i wasted 7 mil for a 120 bush scroll i'll never use but you may find it better for your temp mines pretty close to yours.

So what do you get out of ninj? You said you don't get much out of bushido.

only thing I like out of ninj is animal form.

Even as an archer you have LS and confidense (basically like a close wounds on the run), and you can always hit evade for a small chance to deflect magical attacks (pretty sure)

I really don't agree with this. What exactly are you getting from Ninjitsu? Aside from the MASSIVE damage increase you get from Bushido, when fighting the higher end creatures, once one is dead, you get ALL of your HP's, Stam and Mana back if you've honored it. 50% HCI from Lightning Strike is HUGE for a ranged char, especially on a good leech bow. Confidence is a 2 second massive heal that is offered by no other skill, not even magery at max casting speeds, AND it can be stacked on a bandage, so you can go from 10-Full health in a matter of 3 secs with 150 Stam. Then there's always the 1000 Luck bonus when you achieve Perfection, which has nabbed me some pretty damn nice stuff.

Please explain what you see that Ninjitsu has that even comes close to comparing to all of these benefits from Bushido.

all i'm saying is i tried it and it just wasn't for me, i've been searching for a good yumi, cause i love the weapon specials on that bow and you need either 50 ninj, or 50 bush.
and orig my char was a stealth archer so i went w/ ninj, i have 3 samurai char's and didn't feel like training bushido AGAIN ha ha.

and i try not to run THE temp that everyone else runs, thats what i love about this game your free to make up whatever works for you and it's all about personal taste.

I kinda like the Ninja archer for PVP. Some of the bushido bonuses like Honor don't work in PVP.

Now for stratagy, get some Shirkins and have a GM poisoner poison them for you. (Put them in a ninja belt first of course!

) Now stealth around looking for your target. You have shadow strike, death strike, &amp; poisoned shirkins going for you, you may even have a weapon special or 2 to throw at your poor helpless opponent

feel free to use these excessivly!

Now if you get into a situation you don't like drop a smoke bomb and stealth away! He who fights and runs away comes back fully healed and kills ya!
