After the last patch I have had to go back and rename all my BOD books. So when the rest of the shards are published check this new feature out. All my books were named "1_val".
That's funny. I see a bunch of people complaining about that bug/exploit. Along with other bugs/exploits that get overlooked in their mad dash to appease the pixel crack crew while just shrugging off any bugs and such.I don't get how exploiting vendors to store bods there freely without using any secures isn't fixed yet either but you don't hear them complaining about that![]()
Except for the fact that it isn't an exploit, as it has been perfectly legal for years. That's funny. I see a bunch of people complaining about that bug/exploit. Yeah, I could care less about that one way or another. You can count the number of vendors I have on one hand. You can even subtract five from that hand and still equal the number of vendors I have.Except for the fact that it isn't an exploit, as it has been perfectly legal for years.
No one is saying to leave it on Origin for a year. We are just saying that a day and a half to test a publish as large and involved as this one is a bad idea. You must not remember the storm of trouble that the very last publish brought into play. And this publish is even bigger.Agreed, it's a bug, if it happens to more than just the single person who reported it... (ie it wasn't somehow a freak mistake on his/her part)...
My point was we had this patch up on TC for over a week and it's a large publish including many bug fixes and much new content, though I can't remember any of it directly relating to BoD books in the Patch Notes. If this bug is there, I'm sure they'll squash it, but you can't attack QA and TC in broad strokes as is being done on other threads because there is a bug in computer code, you'd never publish ANYTHING...
It would appear that all the invasion stuff is working as designed, as is all the Halloween content, new stackables and so on that are all listed in the patch notes. I've been reading many threads from testing and haven't seen any saying stuff isn't working, other than some not really understanding all the dynamics involved aparently.
Anyway, they say they're ready to publish so lets have it, we can grade them after we see the results... but I won't be very harsh about this one if it is a new bug....
Storing Bod books on vendors is not, and never has been, an exploit of any kind, and is listed in the knowledge base as being completely legal.I don't get how exploiting vendors to store bods there freely without using any secures isn't fixed yet either but you don't hear them complaining about that![]()
me too.Prob is only the vendor bod books thats affected. But even then big friggin deal. So you need to click book once and rename it. Like thats hard.
I do think that putting books on vendors to save space and not to sell should Not be allowed.
All of my Bod books are on vendors and not a single one had the name changed.Prob is only the vendor bod books thats affected. But even then big friggin deal. So you need to click book once and rename it. Like thats hard.

These books are on my vendors with the bods priced for sale. they are not locked down on the floor. all books were named "1_val" after publish 56. I renamed them yesterday and the name changed back to "1_val again when logging on today. So for the people whose book names are being lost, are the books on vendors? Is there a price on the individual book or is it just stored? Are there prices on the BODs? Is the BOD book Locked Down on the floor or in a back pack?
It seems weird that some people are saying their books in secures are fine and some are saying their books on vendors are fine...
What's special about the books that are losing their names?
Wow! Well, we actually fixed this before going live worldwide, and it should've retroactively fixed issues on Origin with the Bod Books. After the last patch I have had to go back and rename all my BOD books. So when the rest of the shards are published check this new feature out. All my books were named "1_val".
Not entirely sure what it is you're looking for, but my books, which are kept in secures, maintained their names. I just made up some new empty books for my vendor and tested naming and renaming one, and everything worked precisely as I would expect it to.Is anyone encountering problems with the bod book naming as of the worldwide publish?
Glad to hear itNot entirely sure what it is you're looking for, but my books, which are kept in secures, maintained their names. I just made up some new empty books for my vendor and tested naming and renaming one, and everything worked precisely as I would expect it to.
Book names disappeared from my bod books on vendors as of publish 56( is this the worldwide publish you speak of?) I am currently renaming these books as I write this. If it is fixed I will know after I log on tomorrow.Wow! Well, we actually fixed this before going live worldwide, and it should've retroactively fixed issues on Origin with the Bod Books.
The live worldwide patch list apparently wasn't updated with the many things brought to our attention and fixed thanks to you guys.
