Bug Report: double mana cost specials

Was doing some testing with moving shot using a 3.25s swing moving shot composite, (45 stam, 10ssi), and I noticed that the first shot always used the correct mana amount (12), but if i re-toggled moving shot after the initial hit, the 2nd moving shot always used 24 mana (double) even though my swing rate is 3.25s. If I counted to 3 before re-toggling moving shot, it used the normal amount (12).

My question is why does a special that is toggled within 3-secs of each other that procs after the 3-sec timer use double mana? The swing timer should negate the 3-sec minimal timer for double mana spec.

ah ok, i understood you were using a 3,25 weapon with 45 stam and 10 ssi.
Well if its a composite , yeah its weird that you spend double mana with specials.

There was a patch long while ago that put a cap on how many times you can do a special in a row... first one costs normal second if used before cool down costs double.... that is as intended.

the bug here is he actually wait after the cooldown of 3 sec but it still cost double mana...

Yah as long as there is a 3 second gap the double mana rule should not apply. Best you post this in the Bugs forum.

Is it possible you're timing it incorrectly? If it's indeed after 3 seconds, the doubled mana cost doesn't apply

Thats what I thought too, I decided to make bows with 3-secs swing so i wouldnt need to count 3-secs or wait for 2-swings using a 1.5-sec swing bow before toggling another special. Basically I made the bow so every time i activated special, i knew i would be swinging at 3-secs, thus would not require double mana. But after testing, it is not the case, I even did it with a 3.25s bow to see if 0.25secs would make a difference but it does not. Thus the bug is from the time you toggle the special, and does not take into account the swing timer.

Curious, im going to test with a heavy xbow with 5s swing timer, no ssi to see if this is true.

After some rough testing, the plain NPC bought heavy with 5ssi indeed did not double the mana cost on successive moving shots, and after further testing, 3.5s swings also did not activate the double mana cost penalty. But 3.25s swing did activate the double mana cost penalty. If the penalty is supposed to be 3s, technically a bow swinging at 3.25s should not activate the penalty nor should a 3s swing rate wep.
