Brother's Skill Cap and Skills Lowered??

So, my brother noticed today, after constantly failing to Prov, that his skill points are jacked up. He is at 120 real, but now it shows only 96.0, and set to up! Worse, is the Magery. He is locked at 110/110, but should be 115/115. Even if by some messed up thing he lowered his skills, he can't lower his skill caps. That is obviously server side!! Paged a GM and was told "nothing we can do" canned response. Please help!

hello Lia, has he tried dying? For some reason it seems to fix things. I would keep paging until someone pops up that knows what to look for on his char. They can get bugged.

Does he play on EC? Check to see if he has an auto-lock value set (right-click on skill > Remove Auto-Lock Value).

Was he fighting a creature that discords, like the Satyrs?

Sometimes skill jewlry or other items with skill bonus cause bug in UI. Just un wear and wear them again.

Strip the char of all armor and jewelry ... put in bank or house secure.
Take a DP pot and go find a healer, drink pot... die. Wait a few seconds then walk by healer.
Before you walk off check your stats and points now... then go look in body to see if anything other then the empty bottle is there.
You would be surprised of the things that went hidden...
If it still didn't reset .....
Are you sure you got the right character for that points? right shard?
it wouldn't be the first time someone got his chars mixed up.
