British throne room..."Mysterious Crystal" on display

At least on GL, and I'm sure on all shards now or soon.

Talk to the strange guards. Start by saying one's name. For those who don't know, they respond to "keywords". These keywords are from what they say. It seems, but I haven't checked it out to be sure if it's the only, but the last word of what they say is always a keyword and brings a new response.

Edit: Just one of them responds. On GL it's Conan the Elite Guard.

Can't see anything on Europa unless you hold Ctrl + Shift. Brings up two bars near the hole.

One for 'Head of Belo Ondariva' the other is 'A Crystal Radiating ..'.

The guards don't respond yet either, although that might be becuase they are all town criers

After the digging up the crystal event on some shards, a large Shim-style crystal was placed in the throne room, that if you double-clicked the crystal, you got the July 4th event item.

For example, on LA we got a funky looking fireworks gnarled staff.

The crystal is supposed to be some all powerful super expensive god like item.

Candrin Devar of the Royal Guard went into the large hole in the wall on Legends last night, and when he came out Queen Dawn slipped what he had found into her cloak pocket. They must have worked all night to forge this beautiful pedestal to display it. I attempted to speak to all of the guards there, but was met with only stoney stares... and I even winked at them!

I really dislike how they are merging the ingame storyline with independence day in America.

By having this 'special gem' that has been dug up give you such an award.

Atleast on Europa they seperated the two events and the Independence Day awards were got somewhere else.

The gem is giving out the rewards on some shards? If so, that is incredibly tacky...

This was done on most shards that I am aware of.

We, on Catskills, had sorta separate events.
Our Dawn is a lot less magestic and intelligent than a lot of other queens.
She hired some half-assed guy to come dig up the "valuable and irreplaceable" item from the caved in vault who turned out to be a really clumsy dolt (Like a queen would really just hire some nobody) *cough*
He rescued the item (barely)
Then we were basically told the event was over happy fourth of July go get a fireworks wand.
There was a very short quest where we went from NPC to NPC before we found the barrel of wands but I don't consider that an "Event".

The elite guards on Catskills don't talk, and the crystal doesn't do anything but look pretty.

The "event" was filler lore for what's coming I am inclined to think rather than an all out planned event.

That one I can't help you... I've got that 3d promo version and the EC paperdoll version from a few months ago when she visited the Gargoyle palace for the first time. And I assume that the female character in the rotating banner on UOHerald is supposed to be her as well. I don't think I ever saw the 2d version.

Looks much like a shrunken version of that. All the 2D Lord Blackthorn's Revenge content was made from renders of the 3D models. She's in InsideUO animations section as LBR Monsters
