Britannia Finest (semi) Silent Auction
This will be held much like any silent auction but every day I will update the current bids on the forums. Therefore you can see any bid from the previous day but none that have been made that day. So it makes sense to bid higher because you have less chance to see if there are any other bidders.
The other thing that is different from our Auction is that we will only accept 10 lots (items) to auction off. These items are select by us to bring more Varity of items sold. Basically these are higher end items that aren’t normally for sale on vendors.
This will be held for 7 days. At the end the bidding Mailbox will be pulled.
How it works
This will Begin 9.13.2014 and Ends on 9.20.2014 (midnight east coast time)
Items will be on display at the auction house (This is located in New Magnicia) over the course of a week (7 days).
To receive a book just say “book” to the steward.
In the box with the item there will be a book with the Lot Number as the title. Simply write down the lot number followed by “- your bid”.
An example of bids would be
“Lot# 1 – Bid 2 million”
“Lot# 5 – Bid 500k”
Write this in a book (titled bids/yourname bids and your name in it) and place it in the mailbox out front. IF you do not enter the information in a manner that we can understand then the bid will not be counted. (I will make an attempt to contact you, but not much of one) It would be easiest on me and others to use the format stated above.
Bidding Increments (taken from the summer auction post)
In general, use the following guideline:
We differ in the fact that all bids start at 500,000 gold.
· 500k – 1 million: increments of 100k
· 1 – 5 million: increments of 250k
· 5 – 10 million: increments of 500k
· Over 10 million: increments of 1 million
These are a bit steeper than normal but you will only get to bid once a day and there is no way to outbid at the last minute.
To Drop off items to be auctioned
There is a 5 percent auction fee. However, there is no fee for items that do not sell. The fee helps ensure a safe location for the auction to be held and to compensate for the time it takes to organize the auction. This is a trial run but we hope to make this a regular auction.
There are a couple of ways to Drop off and item.
You can ask for Baby Doll or York in general chat Or PM one of us on Stratics forums. Let us know what you have. Since there is a limit of 10 spots and we want to keep it interesting we may turn the item down but give a reason why. The best way to look at it these items are meant to be things you aren’t finding on vendors or the cost of it on a vendor is far too high.
When dropping off the item have it in a bag and with a book with you name as the title.
If a reserve price is desired it must be mentioned at the drop off meeting. It is best to list the reserve price in the book with your name on it.
To Pick up your items- This will be a three day process.
To make this easier and faster to settle accounts we are going to set up a general pick up time.
